Raya is here again !!

September 23, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Hi peeps !! sorry for the long silence. I was too busy with my children, work and few other things and here are list of things that i didn’t have the chance to update:

1) MY BIRTHDAY. Yupp ! I am 29 yrs old now since 26th Aug.

2) My brothers b’day – Nan (5th Aug) and Abang (15th Aug). Dah lama giler tak celebrate bday u guys. Hope u guys have the best bday ever.

3) HARI RAYA AIDILFITRI was on the 20th September. Today is the 4th day of Raya and I am on leave till next weekend. Yippie for me .. Manage to spend more time with the kids at home. Going to Sabandar later to bring Aleesha for a swim. She is already in her swimming suit since early morning and I am still here typing.. Huhu.. She just have to wait. A bit more.

4) Bought baju raya at Karamunsing 2 days before Raya day. Desperate for baju raya so i just grab whatever i see, as long as it’s pink. Since gonna take family pic this year coz Abang came back from Japan..so, tema kena ngam la kan.. will attach pic!

5) Bought kuih raya at Dyg’s office somewhere at Tanjung Aru area and I so damn glad i did coz 1) It was totally yummy and secondly, there’s a discount for the whole thing. 100 pcs of kuih raya selling for Rm35 only and the 50 pcs, i manage to bargain for RM15 each.

6) and the latest : I just scolded both maid just now. Pemalas nak mampus. They are taking advantage of the situation since today as early as 5am, mak and Ba off to Bali with abang. So, the two maid apa lagi.. they all pun on holiday la. Nasib baik I am on leave if not , god knows what will happen to the house. Confirm satu benda pun dorang tak buat. So, i end up giving them more work to do including sweeping the whole yard. Huhu.. Baru la padan muka kan! 2 maid and double the headache..

7) Aleesha bday is just around the corner.. 29th September to be exact. She’ll turn 2 years old and she’s so talkative.. Best sangat lepak and talk with her. She always makes me smile!

8) Have lots of pic to upload, some of them of course is the 1st day of Raya pic. 2nd day raya, we all lepak kat rumah je. 3rd day raya, went for Dim Sum and off for bowling at 1 Borneo. Very surprised to see that Mak n Ba terror main bowling, course as far as i know they only play once in a while for the charity home they volunteer for- but still, very very surprised. Mak pun boleh dapat strike tu.. Caya la my mum!! 63 years old and still happening! On the way home, we stop at Tuaran Beach coz Abang is into photography (suddenly, new hobby he said) so he wanted to take pic. He was lucky coz as we reached there, a group of horses tengah lepak tepi pantai and it was sunset time. So, do check out the pic and let the picture describe the beauty of nature! (Will upload pic of the sunset in the next post)

10) I LOVE my HERBALIFE… i lost 10 pounds so far and few inches here n there and I LOVE it.. yippie for Herbalife! I am aiming to lose another 10 pounds next month.. hopefully.

That’s it for this post.. more updates next time and i hope it’s not to late to wish all you people out there ” SELAMAT HARI RAYA AIDILFITRI, MAAF ZAHIR DAN BATIN” ..thousand apologies people- from the very deep of my heart!

Ecetera … ecetera …

August 12, 2009 · 2 Comments

To all Mummies out there, just wanna share few things with you:

1.Cream for rashes – look for Efficort . If you think your baby have rashes, buy this cream 1st before you go and see your paed and end up paying RM70 for it. The cream will cost you between RM28-RM30 only at pharmacies.

2.Breast pad (disposable)- I’ll recommend you to buy anakku brand. It’s cheaper than any brand. 48 pcs will cost you around RM38++ . Pureen brand– expensivelah and the quality and material is the same.

3.Breast pad (washable) – any brand will do. 1 pair will cost you min of RM10.50.

4.Breast pump – I’m using Mendela brand. RM245++ . Manual but very effective and no pain at all. Been using it since my 1st baby until now. So, it is worth the money.

5.Dry shampoo – for you to use while you are on your confinement. It’s good, at least it helps; especially after dah few days tak boleh basahkan rambut.

What I am up to :

1. I am addicted to baby toys. I can spend hours at the toy shop looking and searching for the right toys. CRAZY but IT”S TRUE! I’ve been spending most of my time searching for the best toys for the kids. I’ve bought few fisher price toys online (they sell cheaper than the shop) so it’s worth it. I managed to buy fisher price (fp) story and sound chair for RM100 when the actual price is RM245. FP ocean play mat for RM80 (shop price RM169). Why FP brand? Simply becoz it’s lasting and the most important thing is it’s educational and it worth the money.
If you are interested: check out this site : mybblittlestore.blogspot.com and from there you can see many other site for baby toys.. it’s cheap!!

2. I am into vaccines; all kind of vaccines. My son, Akramin is taking pneumococcal vaccine. He have to take 4 jabs for it because he starts in his 3rd month . As for Aleesha, she only have to take 3 jabs only since she only started taking it this month, means she’s 1 yr 11 month. The cost for 1 jab is around RM285. Expensive? Yes.. but it will give you peace of mind all the time. Just to share with you; what is pneumococcal ;

pneumococcal diseases — which can cause brain damage and, in rare cases, death. The vaccine prevents invasive diseases caused by the organism Streptococcus pneumonia (also known as Pneumococcus) including bacteria (an infection of the bloodstream) and meningitis, an infection of the lining of the brain or spinal cord..”

….. to know more do google for pneumococcal. According to my paed, there are cases in Malaysia, Cuma tak banyaklah, but still … better be safe than sorry rite? And another thing is, NO, they didn’t have this vaccines in the govt. hospital yet. Other vaccines that u may want to consider are : Rotavirus, cervical cancer vaccines .. etc..etc. Do take this into consideration and discuss it with your partner.

3. Potty training Aleesha (Still on it .. * sigh)

4. I am on Herbalife : Yupp, I am in my 3rd week now and I’m feeling great. I think I’ve lost a few inches here and there (I thinklah). Need to lose few more pounds. I really wish I can lose the extra pound by exercise but who am I kidding.. I can’t fool myself coz there’s no way I can start playing tennis anytime soon and let’s face it not even for the next 6 months. So, Herbalife is the answer and can’t wait to weight (spell as afraid to weight) myself.. Hehe..LOL.

Anyway…..

Updates on the kids:

Hmm.. let start with my eldest shall we;

Aleesha : Going to be 2 years old next month. She can talk and most of the time arguing with me on so many things. She’s starting to use 3-4 words now whenever she talks. She know how and what to answer; which sometimes bikin panas juga ni.. but still, she is improving quite well.. I Thank God for all that.

Akramin : Gonna turn 4 months old this month. He managed to roll over last week on 6th August 2009, 6.47am to be exact. Hubby witness the whole thing and I managed to took pic of his 1st roll over. Yippie for Akramin! He smile and laugh a lot. Rashes pun banyak juga, he have a very sensitive skin compared to Aleesha. He is 6.4kg now. According to the doctor, his weight and height are the same as a 5 months baby. Hmm, follow the father I guess..

I am fully occupied with the two kids. I am happy to be a mom and enjoying every second of it.. and that also explain why I have been MIA from posting any entries lately.

Will try to upload pics and more pics in the next entry ya… Cheers everyone and have a great day ahead!

Expect the Unexpected..

June 25, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Received this today via email .. it’s funny, so i just want to share it with you guys!

——————————————————————————————————-
A stranger was seated next to a little girl on the airplane when the stranger turned to her and said, ‘Let’s talk. I’ve heard that flights go quicker if you strike up a conversation with your fellow passenger.’

The little girl, who had just opened her book, closed it slowly and said to the stranger, ‘What would you like to talk about?’

‘Oh, I don’t know,’ said the stranger. ‘How about nuclear power?’ and he smiles.

OK, ‘ she said. ‘That could be an interesting topic. But let me ask you a question first. A horse, a cow, and a deer all eat the same stuff -grass – . Yet a deer excretes little pellets, while a cow turns out a flat patty, and a horse produces clumps of dried grass. Why do you suppose that is?’

The stranger, visibly surprised by the little girl’s intelligence, thinks about it and says, ‘Hmmm, I have no idea.’

To which the little girl replies, ‘Do you really feel qualified to discuss nuclear power when you don’t know shit?

:) have a nice day everyone!!

Welcome to the world my son!!

June 24, 2009 · 4 Comments

Hi everyone! I am back after 2 months of maternity leave and would love to share with you all my experience of delivering my son, Akramin Shah on 22nd April 2009 at 3.45am.

20th April – I went for my checkup since it’s been 2 days since my due date but according to doctor, baby is still not ready to go out yet.. went home and rest!!

21st April – Went to the clinic to check baby heartbeat. Baby is healthy but still no sign. I can’t stop thinking of so many “what if…” questions. Some of the questions that I can remember are : What if baby ‘pooh’ inside.. how can I know if the baby already ‘pooh’ or not yet?? And guess what, the nurse can’t give me any answer to that.. was quite disappointed and sad at the same time. Damn!

After checkup, I went to buy few (pronounce as MORE) stuff for baby (shopping always makes any girls feels better) , I went home and take a long nap with Aleesha. Wake up and play sand castle with Aleesha until late evening. I bathed her around 6pm and I got lots of discharged- but I ignore it, since it’s not painful and no contraction came with it.

By 7pm, Aril is already home. We watched tv while waiting for dinner and suddenly my contractions starts. Whenever the contractions come, I asked Aril to press the info button on the astro remote to see the time. The contraction come every 5 minutes so, I refer to my “What to expect when you’re expecting” book and I read it out loud to Aril. And we found out that the discharged that I had earlier is called “mucus plug” and it is the 1st stage of labour. And according to the book, the opening of cervix should be around 4cm by now.. No wonder it hurt like hell!!

By 7.30pm – We had dinner and are ready to go to the hospital.. Contraction came more often.. on the way to the hospital, my contractions came every 3 minutes.. Sakit!!!

By 8.30pm – We reached the hospital. I was sent to the observation room because my contraction is quite strong. Young and handsome doctor check me and truly enough, just like what the book said, I was already dilated 4cm and the thing I afraid the most happens : the baby already “pooh” a bit and according to the doctor, the baby is now quite stress.. Believe it or not! Not even born yet but stress already kah… waahh.. how amazing is that.. and that statement makes me more stress than the baby. That is for sure lah.. But luckily, the baby’s pooh is just a bit so not to worry or else I will have to go for c-section.

9pm – The Doctor broke my water bag and I was sent into the labour room. I asked for all kind of painkiller, the oxygen thingy and also the jab which makes me sleepy. Tapi, ngantuk-ngantuk pun, sakit masih terasa. Feels like I wanted to asked for epidural tapi tak jadi since lots of people said that epidural will have a very bad side effects in the long run. So, no epidural to help me lessen the pain.

By 3am something – Opening of servix is already 7cm. They Asked Aril to come into the labour room. Aril was cool, he was giving me all the support. The only thing I remember is me keep on saying “ Sakitt…. Sakitt… “.. hehe!!
By 3.25am – With my last push + a loud scream (like I care- It’s painful ok!)- my son, Akramin Shah bin Shahril Nizam of 3.45kg is born!
I hold him for a short while, and then the nurse took to clean him up. After a few minutes, they brought him in for me to breastfeed. He looks like an angel. It was amazing- looking back at all the things that happened, It was miracle, magic.. There’s no more pain, no more big, round tummy and everything is just so nice, quiet, beautiful and I am just so happy and thank you Allah for everything. Alhamdulilah!!

The best thing is, after I was send to the ward to rest at 5.30am. Akramin was sleeping, I was hungry so guess what I had for my breakfast?? Bubur McD.. Haha!! Thank god for McDonald breakfast. Hehe!!

That is my story, my experienced that I want to share with all of you mothers, especially mother’s to be. Enjoy every minutes and every seconds of your pregnancy. It’s magical .. Have a wonderful pregnancy and take extra care of yourself always! Believe me, your baby worth every pain!!

And seriously guys- IT HURTS LIKE HELL!! Hehe…

Wonderful Message

April 17, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Found this in my Junkyard folder (again!!), now you know why i named the folder as junkyard huh.. hehe. but than again, this message is not a junk or all crap.. I found lots of truth in it and this is what actually happens to most of us nowdays including me! stop being a hypocrite and admit that, you somehow have turned out, acted or done at least 1 of the things listed.

The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but shorter tempers, wider freeways, but narrower viewpoints. We spend more, but have less, we buy more, but enjoy less. We have bigger houses and smaller families, more conveniences, but less time. We have more degrees but less sense, more knowledge, but less judgement, more experts, yet more problems, more medicine, but less wellness.

We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too little, watch TV too much, and pray too seldom. We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values. We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often.

We’ve learned how to make a living, but not a life. We’ve added years to life not life to years. We’ve been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbour. We’ve done larger things, but not better things.

We write more, but learn less. We plan more, but accomplish less. We’ve learned to rush, but not to wait. We build more computers to hold more information, to produce more copies than ever, but we communicate less and less.

ALWAYS REMEMBER:
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

p/s: To all my dear dear friends and family, I wish we can spend more time together….. If only we can !!!

Aleesha’s updates..

April 16, 2009 · Leave a Comment

1) She’s 1 Year 6months old

2) She’s 11 kg

3) She has 6 teeth now but more are coming out as her gums are all white and swollen. Pity her as she keep on saying “ Kit (sakit) gigi “ and pointing at her teeth..

4) She loves to brush her teeth and swallow the tooth paste.. *sigh

5) She drop my compact powder (it was broken into pieces) and now I have to put it together with a getah (rubber band)

6) She knows how and where to put the lipstick, but of course it will always end up on her cheek.. (do I have to explain what happen to my lipstick? Make a wild guess …. Arghhhh !!!)

7) She knows how to pronounce her name – whenever we asked her questions like whose toys is this? Then she’ll answer Sha… and pointing at herself.. Cool huh!!

8) She knows how to pronounce A, B, C and 1,2,3 ..

9) She will ask for mamam if she’s hungry.

10) She wants to ‘gigit ken’ = gigit chicken, tum for nestum, nana for banana, fruits, cream for ice cream, air and water, juk for air sejuk (cold water) and she’ll open the fridge on her own pointing at the cold water. She also know where and what is car, pintu (door), kipas (fan), sar for (besar / big) and she’ll pull your hand and said jom = Let’s go, and tadak = tiada (none), wim for swim and she’ll laugh whenever she watched a funny cartoon. And Oh ya, the other day I put in the Sesame Street DVD and she love it. She scream more, more .. asking for more once it’s end. So, we end up watching the whole thing again….. and again!!

11) She loves to play the sand and will wash her face from the hose when mum is watering the plants.

12) She’ll blame Abang (Farris), her cousin for every ants/mosquito bite, scratches, and for every bum and itch. Pity Farris, was blame for everything! 

13) Am still trying to potty train her ..

14) Loves to read- will be very angry is Abang tries to take her book away.

What else huh… I guess that’s it for now. Will try to update more next time..

And another thing is, I managed to make a nice poster of her and put it up on my office wall. Check out the pic !

39 weeks 5 Days and still waiting …

April 16, 2009 · Leave a Comment

“Can I be induced?”- that was my 1st question right after my gynae told me that my placenta looks ‘new’, no calcium patches and baby is still enjoying and growing in the womb, and looks like I’ll be overdue so, she gave me another 10 days and If I am still not in labour by that time, than only I’ll be induced.. Arghh… hate it when I have to wait. “Penantian satu penyeksaan”, In English it means – “waiting is one hell of a torture” – So damn true!! Hehe :)

But than again, I’ll just have to wait! The baby will come out whenever he’s ready, rite baby?? Neway, The good thing is, I have finally handover all tasks for the next 2 months, so I’ll start my ‘so called’ maternity leave this Monday. Hooray !! See you guys in 2 months time! Pray for me ya and will try to keep you guys updated! Wish me luck .. Cheerio !!

p/s: Just for the record, My baby is now 3.6kg .. Phew!!
